I would appreciate anybody who reads this responding to it. I want to have some kind of data I can collect. Just leave a comment in response to my question. Very quick and simple.
What is the thing that you are most concerned about when it comes to education in the United States today?
As for me, my biggest concern is that with all of the cuts, schools will be dropping arts programs left and right even though there are many studies that have been done that show that students who have experience in the arts during high school do better in school overall. Your turn!

Absolutely. I am very concerned that the arts will be dropped and I can't imagine education without them. Without the arts we have no self-expression! I will always make sure that my children receive an education in the arts but if they are dropped from the public school system many parents will not be able to afford to do the same. Our children need the arts and they need the best education that they can get and by continuing to cut budgets we are denying them that future!
My concern for the Arts program has been ongoing for over ten years (sadly) but regarding something more unique to "today" is the apparent decay and death of the written English language. More teens write in text speak and do not know how to spell properly. This truly horrifies me.
